Kunsang Dolma’s new book, Exile Women and Literature, launched at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamshala, highlights the literary voices of Tibetan women in exile. Supported by the International Campaign for Tibet, the book profiles nearly thirty writers, focusing on five key figures including Tsering Wangmo Dhompa and Tsering Yangzom Lama. Dolma’s research uncovers a vibrant yet underrecognized tradition of exile literature, much of it in English, reflecting themes of identity, statelessness, and resilience. The book fills a critical gap in Tibetan literary studies and women’s contributions to cultural preservation in exile.
