Mass Tree Plantation Held at Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement

To commemorate the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a mass tree plantation was held at Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement and Komalangchen village on the 15th day of Saga Dawa, the holiest month in the Tibetan calendar. According to the organizers, over 600 volunteers participated, planting 5,000 saplings provided by the Shergaon Forest Division. The event was jointly organized by Kalaktang Administration and the Forest Department, with support from the Tenzingang Settlement Office. The initiative, aligned with a state directive by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, aimed to protect local water catchment areas and promote environmental conservation.
