ITCO Launches Tibet Awareness Series in UP to Highlight Strategic Ties

The India Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO) has launched a week-long awareness campaign in Uttar Pradesh titled “India–Tibet Relations: Shared Heritage, Shared Future.” Commencing in Kushinagar on the anniversary of the Dalai Lama’s Nobel Peace Prize, the series aims to educate Indian citizens on Tibet's strategic and cultural significance. Keynote speaker Tashi Dekyi highlighted urgent concerns, including China's colonial-style boarding schools and the geopolitical threat to India’s Himalayan borders. Chief Guest Shri Rajnikant Mani Tripathi reaffirmed India’s moral support for Tibetan human rights. The event drew over 100 attendees, fostering crucial dialogue on regional security.
