A German activist working on Tibet rights, David Missal, was denied entry into Hong Kong after flying from Beijing, he shared on social media. Missal, from the Tibet Initiative, said he was questioned for 13 hours before being sent to Vietnam. He noted that although China allows visa-free entry for Germans, this policy didn't apply to Hong Kong. This marks the second activist turned away this year, with Hong Kong’s immigration citing adherence to local laws, according to AFP. Missal’s trip was personal, not work-related.
