Central Tibetan Administration has hosted its first-ever "Conclave of Tibetan Freedom Fighters" in Dharamshala to honor the lifelong sacrifices of the Tibetan resistance. Organized by the Department of Security, the two-day event welcomed 89 participants, including former political prisoners, guerrilla fighters, and independent Tibet's army personnel, with ages ranging from 27 to 96. Officials awarded these veterans the historic Tibet Medal, recognizing their unwavering dedication to the freedom struggle. The historic gathering, timed alongside the Dalai Lama’s upcoming ninetieth birthday celebrations, concluded with participants securing a special audience with the spiritual leader to honor their enduring legacy.
