The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) awarded the 2025 Snow Lion Human Rights Award to Dr. Sophie Richardson and Geshe Lobsang Monlam at a ceremony in Berlin, presented by ICT Chairman Richard Gere. More than 150 guests, including human rights advocates and Tibetan community members, attended the event. ICT President Tencho Gyatso praised Richardson’s decades of advocacy for Tibet, while Tibet House Germany’s Tulku Tenzin Thoesang commended Monlam’s cultural preservation work, including his “Great Tibetan Dictionary” project. The Snow Lion Award honors individuals promoting human rights, democracy, and cultural preservation in Tibet and neighboring regions.
