Delek Hospital’s 23rd Eye Camp Screens 298, Performs 52 Surgeries

 Dharamshala’s Delek Hospital successfully concluded its 23rd Free Annual Eye Surgery Camp, held in collaboration with Japan’s Association for Ophthalmic Cooperation in Asia (AOCA). Running for three days starting December 24, 2025, the initiative was part of the hospital’s "Year of Compassion" to aid those unable to afford critical eye care. The camp screened 298 individuals, including 200 Indian and 96 Tibetan patients. Japanese ophthalmologists and local staff performed 52 successful surgeries, primarily for cataracts. This enduring partnership continues to restore vision and independence to the region’s most vulnerable communities, highlighting the power of cross-border humanitarian healthcare.
