A ceremony marking the Dalai Lama’s upcoming 90th birthday was held at the Minnesota State Capitol, reports the Office of Tibet. The event was organized by the Office of Tibet in Washington DC, U.S. Chotrul Monlam Association, and Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota. North American Representative Dr. Namgyal Choedup highlighted U.S.-Tibet ties and the Dalai Lama’s peace efforts. Chief guest H.E. Kyabje Jangtse Choje Gosok Rinpoche praised the Dalai Lama’s global impact. Leaders received his latest book and a commemorative coin. A photo exhibit showcased his life and achievements.
