Dalai Lama Returns to Dharamshala After Ladakh Visit

His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned safely to Dharamshala this afternoon after a six-week visit to Ladakh, where he was warmly received despite heavy rain and fog. Leaders of the Central Tibetan Administration and guests from the 65th Tibetan Democracy Day celebrations welcomed him at his residence. During his stay, His Holiness inaugurated the KarGön Mega Summer Symposium, laid the foundation for the Zanskar Mönlam Chörten, and delivered teachings to tens of thousands in Zanskar and Leh. He also met Czech President Petr Pavel, who personally conveyed greetings on His Holiness’ 90th birthday.
