Dalai Lama Leaves New York After Successful Knee Surgery Recovery

His Holiness the Dalai Lama has departed from Syracuse, New York, after a six-week recovery following knee replacement surgery on June 28. During his stay at the Nappi Farmhouse, he received extensive care and physiotherapy. Dr. David Mayman from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York noted that His Holiness’s recovery will continue to improve over the next 6 to 12 months. Tibetan communities in New York and Zurich will offer prayers for his long life on August 22 and 25, respectively, before he returns to Dharamsala on August 28. His Holiness expressed deep gratitude for the hospitality and medical support received during his recovery.
