Dalai Lama honoured with 2025 Gold Mercury Award for peace and Tibetan rights

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was presented with the 2025 Gold Mercury Award for Peace and Sustainability at his residence in Dharamsala on Mar 31,2025. Nicolas De Santis, head of Gold Mercury International, honoured the Tibetan spiritual leader for his global advocacy of peace, compassion, education, and environmental protection. Highlighting the Dalai Lama’s non-violent struggle for Tibetan rights and early warnings on climate change, De Santis praised him as a global moral voice. The award recognises leaders who shape a more ethical world, reported the Gold Mercury International in a press statement.
