Dalai Lama Congratulates Omar Abdullah on Becoming J&K Chief Minister

His Holiness the Dalai Lama congratulated Omar Abdullah on his coalition’s success in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections and his appointment as Chief Minister. His Holines expressed his long-standing connection with Abdullah's family, dating back to Sheikh Abdullah, and conveyed his best wishes for Abdullah's leadership. He hoped for success in addressing the challenges and fulfilling the people's aspirations in Jammu & Kashmir. Omar Abdullah, leader of the JKNC, took the oath as Chief Minister on October 16 at Srinagar’s Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre.
