Dalai Lama congratulates Nitish Kumar on Bihar election win

His Holiness the Dalai Lama has written to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, congratulating him on his coalition’s recent victory in the state assembly election. In the message issued from Thekchen Chöling, Dharamshala, His Holiness praised Kumar’s friendship and hospitality during past visits, especially at Bodh Gaya. He expressed gratitude for Kumar’s support of ancient Indian thought and the Nalanda tradition, and acknowledged Bihar’s meaningful progress in improving lives of the poor and needy.
