Czech Officials Climb Highest Peak in Solidarity with Tibet

Nearly 30 Czech supporters, including prominent senators and former ministers, scaled Mount Sněžka, the country’s highest peak, to raise the Tibetan national flag. The eighth annual solidarity climb honors the upcoming 67th anniversary of the 1959 Tibetan National Uprising. Joined by Central Tibetan Administration Representative Thinley Chukki, the group braved the ascent to spotlight Beijing’s ongoing human rights abuses.
