CTA Representative Congratulates Karnataka Chief Minister

Jigmey Tsultrim, Chief Representative of the Central Tibetan Administration’s Southern Zone, met Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at his Bengaluru residence on June 14, 2026. Tsultrim conveyed greetings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Sikyong Penpa Tsering and presented their congratulatory letters to Shivakumar. The Chief Minister said Karnataka values its long association with the Tibetan community and cited former Chief Minister S. Nijalingappa’s role in enabling the Tibetan settlement at Bylakuppe in 1960. He thanked His Holiness, the Sikyong and the CTA for their good wishes and support.
