CTA Marks 86th Anniversary of Dalai Lama's Enthronement

The Central Tibetan Administration hosted an official ceremony in Dharamshala to commemorate the 86th anniversary of the 14th Dalai Lama’s enthronement. High-profile attendees included Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, former Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche, and Philippine lawmakers. During the event, Satyarthi delivered a powerful keynote address emphasizing that no political authority possesses the moral legitimacy to appoint the next Dalai Lama. He firmly stated that the succession process remains strictly within the established Tibetan religious tradition. Other global delegates and religious leaders also gathered to honor the Dalai Lama's lifelong dedication to peace, compassion, and interfaith harmony.
