CTA Marks 66th Tibetan Uprising Day with Global Delegates

The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) commemorated the 66th Tibetan National Uprising Day in Dharamshala on March 10, 2025, honoring Tibetans who resisted Chinese rule in 1959. Former Slovak President Andrej Kiska and Estonian MP Juku-Kalle Raid led delegations from Slovakia and Estonia. The event, attended by Tibetan leaders and Representative Thinley Chukki, featured a flag-hoisting by Sikyong Penpa Tsering, Tibetan anthem performances, and a moment of silence for Tibetan martyrs. Delegates also met with the Dalai Lama. The ceremony highlighted international support for Tibet’s struggle under Chinese occupation.
