CTA Holds Prayer Service for Lobga Rangzen’s Martyrdom

Central Tibetan Administration held a prayer service at the Sikyong Hall in Dharamshala on July 3, 2026, in honor of Tibetan activist Lobsang Palden, widely known as Lobga Rangzen, who lost his life after self-immolation outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on July 2. CTA leaders and staff gathered to pay tribute to his sacrifice. Officiating Sikyong Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi, Kalon of the Department of Religion and Culture, urged Tibetans to refrain from self-immolation, saying those who have self-immolated are an irreplaceable loss for the Tibetan cause.
