CTA Finance Department Launches Online Green Book Portal

The Department of Finance of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has officially launched the Green Book Online Application Portal. According to Tibet.net, the platform enables Tibetans worldwide to complete forms, upload documents, and track their application status digitally, reducing delays from postal systems. While printing, signing, and mailing remain necessary for final issuance, the system will shorten the overall process. The launch, starting September 1, 2025, coincides with the yearlong celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday and reflects CTA’s efforts to modernize services and improve accessibility for Tibetans.
