Chinese and Tibetans Gathered During New Year to Promote Dialogue and Unity

On December 29, the Office of Tibet in Washington DC hosted a New Year gathering in New York, bringing together Chinese democracy advocates, intellectuals, and local Tibetan organizations. The event, inspired by the Dalai Lama’s teachings, promoted dialogue and cultural exchange. Tibetan students showcased efforts to preserve their heritage in exile, while Chinese attendees commended the Dalai Lama’s peaceful advocacy and Middle Way Policy. Tributes were paid to historian Li Jianglin for her work on Tibet’s history. The event concluded with joint cultural activities, fostering mutual respect and a commitment to continued collaboration.
