The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in Dharamshala is set to create a map with historical Tibetan names to counter China's renaming of places in Tibet. This initiative aims to preserve Tibetan identity and counter Chinese propaganda. Sikyong Penpa Tsering stated that the map's development could take up to a year. Tibetan activists, including Gompo Dhondup of the Tibetan Youth Congress, support this move to fight China's attempts to alter history. This effort aligns with broader Tibetan resistance, recently bolstered by the US Congress passing the Resolve Tibet Act.
