Central Election Commission Announces Schedule for 2026 Tibetan Election

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced on October 7, 2025, the schedule for the 2026 elections of the Sikyong and the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile. The preliminary election is set for February 1, 2026, and the final round for April 26, 2026. Voter registration will run from October 8 to November 8, 2025. The CEC also issued a 14-point Election Code of Conduct, urging Tibetans to follow electoral rules, avoid misinformation, and uphold unity under the slogan “I Am Tibet, I Vote for Tibet.”
