BTSM National Council Meeting Urges Global Support for Tibet

The Bharat-Tibet Sahayog Manch (BTSM) National Council convened on August 3-4, 2024, in Haryana, India, focusing on urgent Tibetan issues and China-India relations. The meeting gathered 267 members from 24 states and included key figures like Kalon Dolma Gyari of the Central Tibet Administration. Five resolutions were adopted, condemning China’s Sinicization policies in Tibet and advocating for Tibetan cultural preservation. BTSM declared 2025 the "Year of Compassion" in honor of the Dalai Lama's 90th birthday, emphasizing peace and non-violence. The council called for global recognition of Tibet's plight and rejected China's influence over Tibetan spiritual traditions.
