Arunachal MP Urges Karmapa to Return to India for Buddhism’s Well-Being

Arunachal Pradesh MP Tapir Gao has called on the 17th Karmapa, Urgyen Trinley Dorje, to return to India to support the Tibetan community and Buddhism. Gao, along with state leaders, visited Dharamshala's Gyuto Monastery, where they expressed their desire for the Karmapa's return. The Karmapa, who left India in 2017 and acquired Dominican citizenship, recently met the Dalai Lama in Switzerland. Gao believes the Indian government will resolve his visa issues. According to ANI, monastery leaders also hope for the Karmapa’s return to guide his followers.
