Arunachal Pradesh held its first laser show at the historic Gorsam Stupa in Tawang on March 26, marking the Dalai Lama’s 1959 arrival in India after fleeing Tibet. According to India Today NE, the event highlighted his emotional connection to the site, where he first stayed in India. Organized by the Department of Karmik & Adhyatmik Affairs, the show is part of efforts to boost spiritual tourism. MLA Tsering Lhamu emphasized the region’s Buddhist heritage. The Gorsam Festival, themed “Plastic Free, Zero Pollution,” also drew dignitaries from Bhutan.
