8th Rangzen Conference Urges Tibetan Government to Demand Full Independence

The 8th International Rangzen Conference in Australia concluded with a unanimous resolution urging the Central Tibetan Administration to abandon its current autonomy policy and officially demand full independence from China. Over 100 global delegates attended the four-day event in the Blue Mountains, rejecting the 1951 Seventeen-Point Agreement as an invalid document signed under duress. Participants argued that decades of dialogue with Beijing have failed to yield meaningful progress for the Tibetan people. The conference also issued a diplomatic appeal requesting stronger international support for Tibetan self-determination and recognition of Tibet as an unresolved international dispute.
