The 6th Young Indian Scholars’ Conference on Tibetan Studies began today at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarah, with Kalon Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations as the chief guest. According to Tibet.net, the conference focuses on the theme "Tibet and South Asia." Kalon Norzin highlighted the geopolitical impact of China's occupation of Tibet, the environmental risks from Tibet's disrupted water systems, and China's interference in Tibetan Buddhism. Scholars will present papers on Tibet's historical, political, and cultural ties with South Asia over the two-day event.
