Thomas King Jackson, an 18-year-old BYU-Idaho student in Rexburg, is walking 1,000 miles to raise awareness about Tibet. Jackson began the project in May and has walked about 700 miles around eastern Idaho while balancing classes and work. His final 300-mile loop began July 2 from Rexburg, passing through Island Park, West Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson, Wyoming, and back through Idaho. The walk is scheduled to end in Rexburg on July 7. Jackson said many people his age know little about Tibet and its current situation.
