Tibetans Hold 11th Protest Against Musée Guimet in Paris

Tibetan activists held their 11th protest outside France's Musée Guimet, condemning the renaming of its Tibetan exhibit to “Himalayan World” as an erasure of Tibetan identity. Organized by Students for a Free Tibet France, the protest featured Pema Doma, SFT Executive Director, who criticized the museum for yielding to alleged Chinese influence. Doma highlighted Tibet's cultural suppression, including forced assimilation in Chinese-run schools. Protesters demanded the restoration of the original exhibit name, echoing a similar victory at Musée du quai Branly. “Tibet exists,” activists declared, vowing to resist efforts to undermine the Tibet’s unique heritage.
