A Tibetan parliamentary delegation, led by Geshe Lharampa Gowo Lobsang Pende and Wangdue Dorjee, initiated their European Tibet advocacy campaign in Vilnius, Lithuania. Meeting with European Parliament member Dainius Zalimas on November 11, the MPs underscored issues of Chinese repression in Tibet, including restrictions on religious freedom and cultural assimilation. They invited Zalimas to the World Parliamentarians’ Convention on Tibet and urged continued support. Zalimas reaffirmed his commitment to the Tibetan cause. The delegation also met with Lithuania’s Parliamentary Group for Relations with Tibet on November 12, garnering additional backing from Lithuanian MPs.
