Panjab University (PU) has signed an MoU with the Dalai Lama’s Foundation for Universal Responsibility to establish a visiting chair in the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies. The chair aims to promote Indo-Tibetan heritage, focusing on Buddhist responses to contemporary issues, Tibetan and Pali Buddhist texts, art, architecture, and philosophy. It will also support critical thinking and self-reflection among students and faculty. Visiting scholars will be invited to contribute to these studies, with an emphasis on peace, non-violence, and emotional learning.
