Under the Building Back Compact Community (BBCC) project of the Central Tibetan Administration’s Department of Home, 54 families received housing plots in the Phendeling Tibetan Settlement, Mainpat. According to Tibet.net, the process, conducted from November 28-30, included document verification, site inspections, and briefings. Out of 63 initial applicants, 3 withdrew and 6 missed the allocation. Construction of 11 houses will begin this year, with progress dependent on contractor efficiency. Officials, including CTA representatives and local leaders, urged beneficiaries to actively participate in the construction phase to strengthen community involvement.
