‘Difficult to Trust’: Ladakh MP Doubts China’s Commitment to LAC Agreement

His remarks followed the successful disengagement of Indian and Chinese troops at Depsang and Demchok, with Diwali celebrations at the border. While Jan welcomed the peace efforts, he stressed that only visible implementation would reassure locals who desire stability. The pact, signed after the 2020 standoff, may lead to a meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi at the upcoming BRICS summit in Russia.
