An aarti was performed at the Sangam in Prayagraj to pray for the souls of those who died in the January 7 earthquake in Tibet. Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan Ashram said prayers and pledged financial aid for 126 affected families via ITBP. He highlighted India's solidarity with Tibet, emphasizing peaceful coexistence. The earthquake, which struck Tibet, killed at least 126 people, injured over 100, and caused significant damage. Al Jazeera reported 49 aftershocks were felt across the region.
