China Deploys Propaganda Team to Counter Tibetan Outreach in Europe

China has sent a delegation of "Tibetologists" to Latvia and Estonia to promote its narrative on Tibet, coinciding with visits by Tibetan parliamentarians seeking European support for their cause. Organized by the State Council Information Office, the Chinese team highlighted Tibet's development under Chinese rule. Meanwhile, Tibetan leaders from Dharamsala met Latvian and Estonian officials to discuss Tibet's historical independence and rights to self-determination. According to International Campaign for Tibet, China’s intensified propaganda reflects its strategy to dominate global discourse, evidenced by a newly launched "Tibet International Communication Center" in Lhasa to bolster external messaging.
