Sikyong Penpa Tsering, President of the Tibetan Government in-Exile, announced plans to create a book and map featuring the original names of Tibetan counties. The initiative aims to counter China's renaming policies and territorial claims. Speaking to ANI, Tsering highlighted the complexity of the project, which includes mapping Tibetan place names and addressing sensitive boundary issues. The effort is expected to take at least a year. Tsering also criticized China's "cartographic aggression" in Tibet and other regions, describing it as part of an expansionist policy.
