Tibetan Delegation Meets Taiwan’s New Labour Minister

On January 8, 2025, Representative Kalsang Gyaltsen Bawa and staff from the Office of Tibet in Taipei met Taiwan’s new Labour Minister, Hung Sun-han, to deliver a congratulatory letter from the Tibetan Parliament in Exile and extend wishes on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration. The delegation also briefed the minister, a former advocate for Tibet in Taiwan’s legislature, on the recent Dingri earthquake. Later, Representative Bawa held a meeting with NGOs to plan the 2025 Tibetan National Uprising Day, focusing on themes, logistics, and support for earthquake-affected communities.
