U.S. Adds 43 Chinese Firms to Forced Labor Import List

The United States has added 43 China-based companies to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act’s Entity List, blocking goods linked to those companies from entering the U.S. market. The action targets businesses that U.S. authorities say are connected to forced labor involving Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities in Xinjiang. Under the law, goods mined, produced, or manufactured wholly or partly in Xinjiang, or by listed entities, are presumed to be barred unless importers provide clear evidence that forced labor was not used. The latest additions expand U.S. supply-chain enforcement against Chinese companies accused of benefiting from labor abuses.
