A Tibetan parliamentary delegation, including MPs Khenpo Jamphel Tenzin, Tsering Dolma, Choedak Gyatso, and Tenzin Phuntsok Doring, visited New Zealand from August 22-23, 2024, following their advocacy efforts in Australia. On August 22, MP Choedak Gyatso spoke on Tibetan democracy at Victoria University of Wellington, hosted by Friends of Tibet. The delegation also briefed New Zealand MPs on Tibet's situation at the Parliament. On August 23, they attended the APSI Forum's International Parliamentary Assembly, where they discussed Tibet's geopolitical significance. The delegation also met with Taiwanese Ambassador Joanne Ou.
