Tibet-Taiwan Roundtable Discusses Rights in Geneva

A Tibet-Taiwan Roundtable was held at the Université Ouvrière de Genève in Geneva on June 23, 2026, organized by the Swiss-Tibetan Friendship Association and chaired by Adrien-Claude Zoller of Geneva for Human Rights. The panel included representatives from Tibetan, Taiwanese, Swiss, and human rights groups. Thinlay Chukki, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Tibet Bureau in Geneva, spoke on Tibet’s history, China’s claims, religious freedom, state-run boarding schools, nomadic relocation, and the Dalai Lama’s succession. She also said Tibet’s glaciers, known as the Third Pole, provide freshwater to billions across Asia.
