Tibet House Japan, part of the Dalai Lama's Liaison Office for Japan and East Asia, started a three-month Tibetan language and culture class on August 3, 2024. Representative Dr. Tsewang Gyalpo Arya welcomed participants and outlined the course, which covers Tibetan conversation, reading, writing, religion, and culture. Staff members Tashi Yangzom and Chisa Tselha will assist with the classes. The program is offered in person for those in Tokyo and online for others. Some students are returning to refresh their skills, while elderly participants seek to learn more about Tibetan religion and culture.
