Tibet and Ukraine's Shared Struggle Against Imperialism and Exploitation: Dr. Lobsang Sangay

Dr. Lobsang Sangay, former Tibetan exile leader, visited Kyiv to highlight parallels between Tibet’s and Ukraine’s struggles against colonial powers. Speaking to Kyiv Post, he emphasized that both countries face imperialist aggression—Tibet from China and Ukraine from Russia—targeting their lands and resources. Sangay noted China's exploitation of Tibetan lithium, copper, and gold, similar to Russia’s control over Ukraine’s coal and steel industries. He also praised Ukrainians' resistance, expressing solidarity by stating, "Your success would be our success," emphasizing the shared fight for freedom and justice.
