Sikyong Seeks Support for Tibetan Welfare in Ladakh

In Leh, Sikyong Penpa Tsering met with Ladakh UT dignitaries, including Chief Executive Councillor Tashi Gyaltson, to enhance the welfare of Tibetan residents. Sikyong visited the Ladakh Buddhist Association and discussed religious matters and the Tibetan freedom struggle. He shared news of the Dalai Lama’s knee recovery and the Resolve Tibet Act. Key issues addressed included education, monastic support, medicinal herb plantations, and housing for Tibetans. The meeting saw commitments from local officials to assist within their capacities. A gratitude luncheon was held by the Tibetan community in honor of the dignitaries.
