Sikyong Penpa Tsering Visits Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement

On November 3, Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration addressed residents of the Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement on Tibetan rights and global policy issues. He reaffirmed the Middle Way Approach and the vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Sikyong highlighted recent U.S. legislation supporting Tibetans' self-determination and disputing China’s claims over Tibet. He criticized China’s portrayal of Tibet as idyllic, comparing policies to Orwellian control. Also emphasizing the need for precise population records in Tenzingang and urged Tibetans to strengthen international advocacy for their rights and freedoms.
