Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration visited Tibetan communities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Chicago as part of his US tour to thank the US government for the Resolve Tibet Act.
On July 27, 2024, he spoke at the Wisconsin Tibetan Association and the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota. The next day, he met with the Tibetan community in Chicago. In his speeches, he emphasized the administration’s dedication to the Dalai Lama’s vision, advocating for dialogue with China through the Middle Way Approach, and called for unity among Tibetans.
