From July 22 to 25, Sikyong Penpa Tsering visited Washington DC, thanking US legislators for supporting the "Resolve Tibet Act." He met with Congress members, State Department, and White House officials to discuss Tibet-related issues. At the Brookings Institution, he participated in a roundtable moderated by Ryan Hass. A Capitol Visitor Center reception celebrated the new law, with attendees including Nancy Pelosi, Michael McCaul, Jim McGovern, and Joe Wilson. A video of Tibetans thanking the US was shown. Sikyong also attended a community celebration, expressing gratitude to various supporters. He will visit Tibetan communities in Madison, Minnesota, and Chicago.
