Lobsang Yeshi, former parliamentarian, was sworn in as the new Election Commissioner, and Tsultrim Dorjee, Director of Tibetan Children’s Village, as a member of the Public Service Commission. The oath was administered by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel following their election with a two-thirds majority in the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile. The ceremony, held today at the Parliament Hall, was attended by key officials, and concluded with traditional Tibetan gestures, including scarf offerings and tea. Both appointees bring extensive experience in Tibetan leadership and education.
