Museum of the Moving Image Hosts Pema Tseden Film Retrospective

The Museum of the Moving Image will honor the late Tibetan filmmaker Pema Tseden with a retrospective from September 6-15, 2024. The event will showcase all of Tseden's feature films, including "The Silent Holy Stones" and "Snow Leopard," as well as his short films. Known for blending Tibetan culture with cinematic storytelling, Tseden's works explore themes of identity, tradition, and spirituality. This retrospective highlights his pioneering role in Tibetan cinema and his lasting impact on the Tibetan film community. Tickets are available online and at the museum.
