Japan will host an international meeting on support for Tibetans in June 2025, marking the first time the event is held in the country. Organized by the Japan-Tibet Parliamentary Association and the legislative body of Tibet’s government in exile, the meeting will gather about 90 participants from 26 countries. His Holiness the Dalai Lama will deliver a speech online. The association includes 105 Diet members, with key roles held by Shu Watanabe and Keiji Furuya. This follows Japan's 2022 resolution addressing human rights concerns in China, including Tibet.
