A former aide to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Linda Sun, has been charged with acting as an agent for China. According to federal prosecutors, Sun and her husband, Christopher Hu, received millions in kickbacks and luxury perks, including special food deliveries, while promoting China's interests. Sun allegedly manipulated government messaging and blocked Taiwan's representatives from state access. She was fired in 2023 after her misconduct was discovered. Both Sun and Hu pleaded not guilty to charges of visa fraud, money laundering, and violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, reports BBC.
